What’s On

There’s a lot going on in Wakefield Library and Museum this week. On Tuesday 27th, 4-5pm children can enjoy ”Revolting Recipes!” and create their own Roald Dahl-inspired sandwich. Hopefully less messy will be ”Find Your Past” on Wednesday 28th, 10.30-12 with experts from the West Yorkshire Archive. On Friday 30th 6.30-7.30, a must for sci-fi fans, we go ‘Into the Mind of a Dr Who Writer’ with World Fantasy Award winning author Robert Shearman. Robert will be back in the library on Saturday 1st December 2-4 pm, to discuss his work and read some of his short stories.

  1. The Revolting Recipes Enormous Crocodile sandwich event went down really well, not only with the children but the adults too. I can see this sandwich being made in many a home now.

  2. The revolting recipe crocodile sandwich was very tasty except for the spinach used to represent the scaly skin of the crocodile. Great fun to make though and i think that i will always add gherkins to my tuna in future for that extra crunch
