Robert Shearman

I enjoyed a wonderful evening last Friday listening to Robert Shearman talking us through his Dr Who episode ‘Dalek’, why he had written it that way and how it had developed and changed up to the finished episode. For any fan this was geek heaven as Robert talked about the planning to bring the series back and shared lots of behind the scenes anecdotes. He’s an excellent speaker and very funny and there were plenty of laughs and questions. Copies of Robert’s short stories ‘Love songs for the shy and cynical’ and ‘Everyone’s just so special’ are being added to library stock so if  you missed him talking about his current work on Saturday afternoon you can reserve a copy. Dark and funny, macabre and moving, Robert’s work is well worth discovering.
