Specsavers National Book Awards

The category winners have been announced. Hilary Mantel won UK Author of the Year but I was pleased to see Eowyn Ivey win International Author of the Year for her wonderful book Snow Child. On my must-read list is New Writer of the Year Rachel Joyce for the Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry but the headlines are dominated by E.L.James who won the Popular Fiction book of the year. It certainly has been one of the most popular books this year but does it deserve an award? What do you think? You can find the full list of awards and a chance to vote for the Book of the Year here.
